Privacy Policy

How we handle your information.

Effective date: June 6, 2026

Who We Are

Eaton EDU ("we," "our," or "us") provides systems strategy, consulting, and technology tools for healthcare practitioners. This policy covers our website (eatonedu.com), the Eaton EDU Sparks and Sparks for PracticeQ Chrome extensions, our SMS text messaging program, and related services.

SMS Text Messaging

Eaton EDU operates an SMS text messaging program to communicate with active clients about their service engagement, project status, scheduling, invoicing, document signing, and direct support inquiries.

Information we collect for SMS

  • Mobile phone number (provided by you during onboarding via our intake forms or directly to us)
  • Message content you send to us
  • Timestamps and delivery status of messages we send to you

How we use SMS information

We use your phone number and message content solely to provide the services you have engaged us for. This includes sending project updates, meeting reminders, invoice notifications, document signing requests, service-related account updates, and responding to inbound inquiries.

Sharing of mobile information

Eaton EDU does not share or sell mobile information or phone numbers with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information shared with subprocessors solely to deliver the SMS service (such as our SMS messaging provider — currently Twilio or OpenPhone) is not considered sharing for marketing purposes. Mobile opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party for any purpose.

Opt-in

You opt in to receive SMS text messages from Eaton EDU by initialing the dedicated "Text Message Consent" form provided during onboarding (signed via IntakeQ alongside your Ecosystem Membership package). Eaton EDU only sends SMS text messages to individuals who have signed this consent form.

The full SMS opt-in disclosure — including consent language, message frequency, opt-out instructions, sample messages, and our anti-sharing policy — is publicly available at eatonedu.com/sms-consent.

Opt-out

You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message from us. You may also reply HELP to receive assistance. Opt-outs are honored automatically and immediately. Standard message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on your active engagement with us.

Additional terms

Additional SMS terms and conditions are available in our Terms & Conditions.

Eaton EDU Sparks & Sparks for PracticeQ Chrome Extensions

The Eaton EDU Sparks and Sparks for PracticeQ extensions enhance the IntakeQ/PracticeQ experience for Eaton EDU ecosystem members. Both extensions follow the same privacy practices described below.

What the extension accesses

  • IntakeQ pages only — The extensions run exclusively on intakeq.com. They do not activate on any other website.
  • Your clinic ID — Used to verify your practice is an authorized Eaton EDU ecosystem member. This is checked against our server (sparks.fly.dev) and is not stored beyond the active browser session.
  • Appointment and client profile data on the page — Used locally in your browser to display preferred names, generate driving routes, and render dashboard widgets. This data is never sent to our servers.

What the extension does NOT do

  • Does not collect, store, or transmit personal health information (PHI)
  • Does not track your browsing activity
  • Does not access any website other than intakeq.com and sparks.fly.dev
  • Does not use cookies or third-party analytics
  • Does not sell, share, or monetize any data
  • Does not execute remotely hosted code — all extension logic ships in the published package; widget UI is rendered in isolated sandboxed iframes per Chrome Web Store policy

Data sent to our server

These limited categories of non-PHI data are sent to sparks.fly.dev:

  • Your IntakeQ clinic ID — used solely to verify your ecosystem membership and to determine which widgets your practice has enabled.
  • Anonymous usage telemetry — we record when a widget is shown to you and when you interact with it (e.g., "Income Snapshot opened," "Billing Dashboard launched"). This tells us which features are useful and is limited to clinic ID, optional user ID, widget type, and action name. No client data, appointment details, or other personal information is included.
  • Support messages and your identity — only if you use the in-app support chat; see the dedicated section below.

Messages (in-app support chat)

The extension includes an optional "Message Us" support chat that connects your practice with the Eaton EDU team. When — and only when — you open and use this chat:

  • The message text you type is sent to sparks.fly.dev and delivered into your practice's Eaton EDU support conversation.
  • Your name and email address (read from your authenticated IntakeQ session) are sent so we can attribute your message and reply to you.
  • Your account role (for example, whether you are an administrator) is checked to confirm you are permitted to use the chat for your practice.

This information is used only to operate the support chat — it is never sold, shared for marketing, or used for any unrelated purpose. No patient or client records, appointment details, or clinical (PHI) information is ever sent — only your own identity and the messages you choose to send us.

Permissions explained

  • storage — Used to cache your authorization status locally so the extension doesn't re-verify on every page load.
  • tabs — Used to detect when an IntakeQ tab is open so the extension popup can show your current practice status.
  • scripting — Used to inject our content scripts into IntakeQ pages.
  • Host permissions (intakeq.com, sparks.fly.dev) — Required to read page content on IntakeQ and verify your practice with our server.

Website

Our website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use our site. Google Analytics collects standard internet log information and visitor behavior in an anonymous form. No personally identifiable information is collected through our website outside of the application form, which is processed through IntakeQ.

Client Portal

The Eaton EDU Client Portal uses ClickUp OAuth for authentication. Your ClickUp account information (name, email) is used solely to provide portal access. We do not store ClickUp credentials.

Data Retention

We retain client information only as long as needed to provide our services. Extension authorization data is session-based and not persisted on our servers. If you leave the ecosystem, your access is simply deactivated.

Your Rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold. To make a request, contact us at the email below.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
